Velocity has greenlit a new series starring Long Island-based celebrity car designer Will Castro.

“Unique Rides with Will Castro” (working title) will follow the action at his Smithtown, NY, shop as he and his five employees execute the design, tear-down, build and reveal of customized cars for a client base that is 80 percent celebrities and athletes.

He has been outfitting celebrity rides for 25 years, since rapper Erick Sermon (who went to high school with his brother) asked him to customize his Mercedes-Benz for an event at the Apollo Theater in 1989.

“Ever since then, they knew that we were the shop and the person to go to,” Castro tells The Post.

His clients include LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony, P. Diddy, Jeff Gordon, CC Sabathia, 50 Cent, Donald Trump, Pamela Anderson and Austin Mahone.

Over the years, Castro has dealt with all sorts of crazy customization requests (which typically cost $5,000 to $10,000), including an Airstream trailer outfitted with a stripper pole and vibrating bed — but he draws the line at changes that are unsafe.

“With the Unique brand, we want to keep it respectful to the car manufacturers that are building nice cars, so there are certain things I won’t do,” he says.

The series begins filming in June and will premiere on the car-themed cable network in January.

Velocity also plans to debut news shows starring “Biker Build-Off” winner Joe Martin and a series about a team that refurbishes lowriders. Popular series “Bitchin’ Rides” and “Overhaulin’” have been renewed, along with 11 other series.
