Mercedes-Benz Mythos Series’ first model to hit roads in 2025, promising unmatched luxury

KUALA LUMPUR: Mercedes-Benz took the luxury automotive world by storm in 2022 when it announced its ambitious plans for the ultra-luxurious Mythos Series sub-brand, positioned above the already opulent Maybach range. Now after a silence of two years, the German automaker provided a significant update on the upcoming Series through its financial results for 2023.

Mercedes-Benz shared the earlier teaser image again to announce that the first Mythos model will be launched in 2025. As per the reports, the first Mythos model is expected to be a super luxurious version of the brand’s SL (Sport Light) offering. While the current version of the roadster is sold as an AMG model only, the automaker is also working on a premium Maybach iteration. This indicates that the upcoming Mythos-branded model will boast an even higher level of sophistication and luxury.

The upcoming Mythos Series will mark a new era for Mercedes-Benz. The automaker describes it as a dedicated sub-brand as “highly exclusive collectible cars.” With its focus on innovation, elegance, and exclusivity, the Mythos Series aims to set higher standards in automotive luxury, showcasing the brand’s commitment to pushing boundaries. 

The Mythos models will be produced in very few quantities and will be sold to “the most dedicated enthusiasts and collectors of Mercedes-Benz.” It seems that these ultra-luxury cars will compete with top luxury brands like Bentley, Aston Martin, Ferrari, and McLaren.
