DELTA TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WJRT) – Michigan State Police are investigating the theft of eight brand new Cadillacs from a storage lot outside the General Motors Lansing Delta Township Assembly plant.

The theft was discovered around 3 a.m. Tuesday outside the plant at 7916 Davis Highway, which is near the I-69 and I-96 interchange west of Lansing.

Thieves broke into the storage lot and drove off with eight Cadillacs fresh off the assembly line. Michigan State Police and sheriff deputies from Eaton and Ingham counties patrolled the area, but they could not locate the vehicles.

A short time later, authorities found of the stolen vehicles parked along eastbound I-69 near Webster Road in Clinton County’s Bath Township. Nobody was around either of the vehicles.

Investigators were processing both of the abandoned Cadillacs for any evidence that may lead them to suspects and the other stolen vehicles. No arrests had been made Tuesday morning.

Anyone with information on the stolen Cadillacs should call the Michigan State Police Lansing Post anonymously at 517-322-1907.
