Despite being the queen of rom-coms, Meg Ryan says she still hasn’t got the fame part nailed down.

“I have to say, I don’t think I was a very good famous person,” the 61-year-old told Entertainment Tonight Tuesday.

“I just don’t think I’m a good celebrity… I just always felt a little bit like life was over, like, outside this little bubble; outside some sort of membrane. And I remember cars closing — like, expensive cars — and then you don’t hear the outside anymore.”

The “What Happens Later” actress said experiencing seclusion can make people feel “roped off,” which could ultimately lead to a “limited life.”

“You’re roped off in that part of thing, and I just knew it’s just not good for an artist or a creative person to have limited life, in a way, to draw from,” she notes.

To shake things up, Ryan moved out of LA with her family to focus on her personal life.

The actress became well-known as a romantic comedy icon throughout the ’90s.

“I have a very charmed life,” she explained. “People generally smile when they say hi to me, and they’re happy about some of the movies I’ve done, and that’s great.”

“I’m not saying anything bad about that. I have a very charmed experience, I recognize that,” she added.

The actress became well-known as a romantic comedy icon throughout the ‘90s, having starred in hit films like “Sleepless in Seattle,” “You’ve Got Mail,” and “When Harry Met Sally…”

Ryan also admitted that she took a step back from the silver screen to spend more time with her children.

After gaining success, Ryan decided to take a step back from the limelight and limited the amount of jobs she took after becoming tired of the fame.

Ryan hasn’t been seen in a big-screen movie since 2015’s “Ithaca,” however the star last year thrilled fans by announcing she was returning to rom-com roots.

“I took a giant break because I felt like there’s just so many other parts of my experience as a human being I wanted to develop,” the mother of two told People last month.

Ryan’s newest romantic comedy “What Happens Later” sees her star opposite David Duchovny.

“It’s nice to think of it as a job and not a lifestyle. And that is a great way of navigating it for me,” she added.

Ryan also admitted that she took a step back from the silver screen to spend more time with her children.

The actress shares son Jack, 31, with ex-husband Dennis Quaid, and daughter Daisy, 18, whom she adopted in 2006.

Now that she’s finally ready to return to the big screen, Ryan’s newest romantic comedy “What Happens Later” sees her star opposite David Duchovny.

The film, which she is also directing, hits theaters on Nov. 3.
