When compared to other actors and actresses, Salman Khan might not be an automobile enthusiast; however, he does own several expensive cars in his garage. He previously had several motorcycles in his garage and used to ride them often too. However, the actor has recently started receiving threats from criminals like Lawrence Bishnoi. Following these incidents, the actor has significantly enhanced his security measures, now using a bulletproof vehicle to move around. He recently arrived at an event in Mumbai in his bulletproof Land Cruiser luxury SUV.

The video showcasing this has been shared by “Cars For You” on their YouTube channel. In this video, the Toyota Land Cruiser owned by Salman Khan is seen arriving at Rang Mandir Bandra for an event. The luxury SUV stops in front of the porch, and the security officers who accompany the actor all the time are the first to exit. They survey the surroundings and, after ensuring that the premises are secured, they ask the actor to step out of the vehicle.

The actor is now surrounded by fans, photographers, and vloggers. He slowly makes his way into the building without stopping or posing for pictures or videos. He then takes the stairs and enters the auditorium to attend the event. The video focuses more on Salman Khan and less on his vehicle. The Toyota Land Cruiser seen in the video is the Land Cruiser LC200. It is an extremely popular SUV, and in the past, many politicians have added armor for protection to this SUV. Toyota does not offer these armored vehicles from the factory. In most cases, owners approach third-party workshops experienced in this field. While specific details of the armor remain undisclosed, it is known to meet high international protection standards, possibly even rated VR9 or VR10.

Salman Khan & his Land Cruiser

The previous generation Land Cruiser LC200 appears stock on the outside. The vehicle is prepared differently to make it bulletproof. Thick sealed glass is used on the windows and windshields. The doors and body panels of the SUV also receive armor protection to safeguard the occupants in case of an attack. Alongside the body panels, the car’s underbody also receives armor protection to shield passengers from IED blasts. Special protection plates are installed on the roof of the vehicle as well. All these modifications undoubtedly increase the vehicle’s weight, affecting overall performance as a result.

This is one of the reasons why it is recommended to perform such modifications on vehicles with powerful engines. However, this is not the only bulletproof vehicle that Salman Khan has in his garage. He has also imported a Nissan Patrol specifically for this purpose. Salman Khan’s Nissan Patrol is equipped with a robust 5.6-liter V8 petrol engine, capable of producing 405hp and 560Nm of torque. Both the Land Cruiser and Nissan Patrol are capable of handling off-road duties without any issues.
