Unlocked BMW stolen from Lake Bluff residence; police

The following items were taken from Lake Forest and Lake Bluff police department reports and news releases. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt.

LAKE FOREST

DUI

Phoenix H. Pearson, 45, was charged July 30 with aggravated domestic battery of an elderly person and domestic battery after an incident in Lake Forest. She was held on bond and has a scheduled court date of August 31.

REVOKED DL

Charles D. Rickette, 53, of the 2000 block of Elim Ave., Zion was charged July 31 with driving with a revoked license and improper overtaking after he was stopped for a traffic violation near the intersection of Route 60 and Suffolk Lane. He was released on bond and has a scheduled court date of Sept. 5.

LAKE BLUFF

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT

An unlocked 2023 BMW X5 with the key fob inside was reported stolen July 28 from outside a residence on the 1600 block of Shore Acres Drive. The vehicle had an estimated value of $60,000.

DUI

Willie L. Griffin, 77, of the 4900 block of N. 63rd St., Milwaukee was charged July 28 with driving under the influence of intoxicating compounds, failure to dim headlights, improper lane usage and driving without insurance after he was stopped near the intersection of Sheridan Road and E. Sheridan Place. He was released on bond and has a scheduled court date of August 18.

RESISTING ARREST

Marc D. Robertson, 31, of the 1000 block of 18th St., North Chicago was charged July 31 with resisting arrest, driving with suspended registration and driving without a license after he was stopped on the 1900 block of Sheridan Road and he refused to exit the vehicle. He was released on bond and has a scheduled court date of September 8.
