A BMW driver tried to escape a fine after overtaking a police car in a residential Birmingham street. He told officers he was ‘late for church.’

But officers found the driver was not insured after checks were made. Police later impounded the motor.




The incident happened in Washwood Heath. Police shared news of the incident on Twitter today.

Washwood Heath Police posted: “This driver decided to overtake us and when stopped, he said he was late for Church – now his vehicle has been seized for no insurance #FatalFive.”
