Chennai, May 27: A 52-year-old woman died after she was allegedly mowed down by car belonging to popular YouTuber Mohammed Irfan. The incident took place at Maraimalai Nagar near Tamil Nadu’s Chennai in the night of May 25. The deceased woman was identified as P Padmavathy of Kaatankulathur. According to reports, YouTube Mohammed Irfan’s relative Mohammed Azaruddin was behind the wheel when the car ran over Padmavati.
Padmavati was crossing the road at Maraimalai Nagar when Irfan’s car, a Mercedes Benz SUV (sports utility vehicle), allegedly hit her. She was taken to a nearby hospital where doctors declared her brought dead. The YouTuber was returning to Chennai from Thanjavur along with his family. Following the incident, the Tambaram City Police’s traffic investigation wing registered a case against Azaruddin under Section 304 (A) (death caused due to negligent driving) of the Indian Penal Code. Mohammed Irfan is a famous YouTuber from Tamil Nadu. His YouTube channel “Irfan’s Views” has more than 3.5 million subscribers. He usually shares videos related to food and travel. He also takes interviews of celebrities. He recently attended a tea party hosted by Tamil Nadu Governor Ravindra Narayana Ravi at Raj Bhavan.
