The one you want is the GT63 which costs around $150,000, or perhaps the GT63 S E Performance F1 Edition if you have more than $190,000 to splurge on a luxury sedan.

10 The Mercedes-AMG GT63 Is Powered By A Handbuilt Twin-Turbo V8 Engine

If you were to spend $20,000 extra and go for the GT63 S, this V8 engine gets even madder. Although on the surface it might look like the same twin-turbo V8, in reality, the GT63 S’ motor provides 630 hp and maintains the same torque output.

In the center of these two seats are optional heated and cooled cup holders, a wireless charging pad, as well as a compact touch screen. 7 A Quicker, More Fuel-Efficient Variant Called The Mercedes-AMG GT63 SE Performance Is Available Too

With rising fuel prices and the inevitable takeover of electric cars, automakers are forced to find new, innovative ways to keep building gasoline-powered cars. The answer to this everlasting dilemma is of course building hybrid variants of their current cars. Lexus did it with their LC 500, and now Mercedes is doing it with their GT 4-Door.

They call it the GT63 S E Performance, and it still houses the same twin-turbo V8 in the front but adds an electric motor in the rear. The result hereof is a total power output of 830 hp and 1082 lb-ft of torque. It can also set a 0-60 time in under 3 seconds just like the Tesla Model S Plaid.

6 It Embodies The Same Persona As Its 2-Door Counterpart

The idea of the GT 4-Door didn’t just fall out of the sky. It’s based on the Mercedes-AMG GT Coupe that has been with us since the mid-2010s. The AMG GT Coupe is an excellent touring car and makes for an unforgiving track weapon when in its Black Series trim level.

Its four-door counterpart may not be as nimble around the corners, but it certainly inherits the overall design of the two-door sports car and also adopts the same engine layout for the most part.

5 The Mercedes-AMG GT63 Is Practical

Apart from the slight reduction of headroom in the rear due to the sloping roofline, the AMG GT63 is a very practical vehicle suitable for any sort of trip. Take for instance its trunk which has 456 liters (12.7 cubic inches) worth of space.

Brabus is no stranger to Mercedes, after all, they’ve been working together since 1979. Some of their most well-known builds include the Suzuki Jimny’s G-Wagon-inspired kit, but today we’re here to talk about how they can tap into the GT63’s performance potential.

They offer a few different treatments to the GT63, but the most powerful one they offer is called the Brabus Rocket 900. On top of the wider stature, rear wing, and red inlets on the grille, the V8 from the GT63 will be even more aggressive. Its power output will increase to 900 hp on the dot and 772 lb-ft of torque. Subsequently, its 0-60 time will also decrease to just 2.8 seconds.

2 The Mercedes-AMG GT63 Is The Ultimate Modern Sleeper

The AMG GT63 is an undeniably handsome car, but for the average commuter, it looks just like any either Mercedes. Little do they know that this Merc has one of the most powerful V8 engines ever put into a sedan.

For that reason alone, it plays the perfect sleeper car, and because its 4Matic system allows for all the power to be put down to the ground, it can actually show off its prowess.

1 The Mercedes-AMG GT63 Is Well Worth Its Six-Figure Price Tag

Let’s look at the big picture here: 575 hp, a 0-60 time of 3.3 seconds, the practicality of a family sedan, and the luxury of a limousine – all wrapped into one car called the Mercedes-AMG GT63.

Speaking from an objective point of view, there are cheaper alternatives to the GT63 like the CT5-V Blackwing that offer roughly the same levels of performance at a cheaper price. But there’s a catch. If you have $150,000 to spend on a car, you want the best of the best, not the best bang for your buck. We can’t see another car tick as many boxes as well as the Mercedes-AMG GT63, regardless of its price.
