10/10 Iggy Pop Unleashes Some Great Music On Liberty Rock Radio

In GTA IV, Liberty Rock Radio plays classic rock music and is hosted by American musician Iggy Pop. Iggy Pop voices himself on the in-game radio station and plays songs that are in line with his typical music style.

Iggy Pop presents the show in an easygoing and carefree manner which complements the genre and appeals to listeners. The rock icon even plays “I Wanna Be Your Dog,” a song from The Stooges featuring a young Iggy Pop on vocals. He refers to himself as Iggy as he tells listeners he is going to “unleash some great music.

9/10 Lazlow Was Heavily Influenced By The Man Himself

Lazlow is a character featured in nearly every major release in the GTA series. He has hosted shows on radio stations, but is better known for presenting the program Fame or Shame in the latest title. He also gets caught up in the storyline when Michael’s daughter, Tracey, auditions on the reality TV show.

In the real world, Jeffery Crawford “Lazlow” Jones is a director, producer, voice actor, and radio personality who has his own show, The Lazlow Show. He was also a long-time writer for Rockstar Games and was responsible for much of the audio and dialogue throughout the franchise. Although he has now left Rockstar, Lazlow voices himself in GTA V and GTA Online.

8/10 Ricky Gervais Is On The Line-Up At The Split Sides Comedy Club

Rockstar introduced gamers to stand-up comedy in GTA IV. Split Sides Comedy Club is located in Liberty City’s Star Junction where players can watch performances from real-life celebrities. Among them is English actor, writer, and comedian, Ricky Gervais.

As well as writing his own material, Gervais voiced his animated counterpart in one of the most popular games in the GTA series. Gervais has three routines for players to enjoy, along with performances from Kat Williams and Frankie Boyle, who also voice themselves. The amusing pastime is one of the best side activities in the GTA series.

7/10 Cara Delevingne Keeps The Energy High On Non-Stop Pop FM

An English model and actor, Cara Delevingne hosts Non-Stop Pop FM and plays herself in GTA V and GTA Online. As well as her accomplishments in the fashion industry, Delevingne is known for playing roles in Paper Towns and 2016’s Suicide Squad. During her in-game radio show, she occasionally reminds players who their host is by saying, “it’s Cara here.

Even though pop music isn’t for everyone, Cara plays some big hits, which makes it difficult for gamers to turn off the radio station. She keeps the energy high and entertains listeners in between songs with her youthful manner and witty remarks, including “stop pretending you’re not loving this music. Please. It’s not fooling anyone. Embrace your contradictions.

Funk musician and distinguished bassist Bootsy Collins hosts the grooviest radio station in GTA V. Collins played the bass for soul legend James Brown before joining Parliament-Funkadelic years later. On Space 103.2, his quirky comments and funkalicious vocabulary display his personality.

In his comical voice, he says “it’s Bootsy baby,” letting gamers know exactly who is in charge of the music. Collins puts on a show and poetically addresses listeners, occasionally rhyming his words keeping players and music fans amused. Pulling over in one of the franchise’s most iconic vehicles and listening to Bootsy’s radio show is a great way of taking a break from all the action.

5/10 An Animated Phil Collins Performs In Vice City

Famous drummer, singer, and 1980s pop icon, Phil Collins was featured in the 2006 release GTA: Vice City Stories. Collins was the first celebrity to voice an animated version of themselves in a GTA game. The notable musician is integrated into the campaign, and as the story goes, he is due to perform in Vice City.

Phil Collins is featured in a select few missions where players drive him around and protect him from assassins. In the mission “In The Air Tonight,” the major protagonist, Victor Vance, must stop enemies from damaging the lighting rig during Phil’s concert, which would lead to his demise. More of Collins’ music can be heard on the game’s radio stations Flash FM and Emotion 98.3.

4/10 Lee “Scratch” Perry Brings The Blue Ark To Life

In GTA V, the famous record producer, Lee “Scratch” Perry hosts The Blue Ark, a Dub and Reggae music radio station. As well as playing some of the genre’s most iconic songs, he entertains gamers with his charm and charisma. He tells his listeners “It’s DJ Lee Scratch Perry, you know. Generation presenter of love, unity, peace, and harmony.

As a radio host, players don’t get to see Perry in the flesh. However, he has a recognizable voice, and even without an introduction, most gamers would be able to guess who’s behind the mic. The late legend is the only Jamaican celebrity to voice themselves in a GTA game.

3/10 Kenny Loggins Hosts The Soft Rock Music Station In GTA V

A popular station in GTA V is Los Santos Rock Radio, which is hosted by renowned guitarist and songwriter Kenny Loggins. As well as having a successful solo career, the American musician is famous for recording songs for movies including Footloose, One Fine Day, and Top Gun.

Loggins entertains gamers and makes funny comments in between songs, such as “I’m Captain Loggins, and you’re on a cruise,” and “I need to trim my beard, let’s go to a commercial.” On top of playing some classic songs, Loggins brings his humorous personality to Los Santos Rock Radio.

2/10 Jesco White Hosts Rebel Radio In GTA V

Famous folk dancer and entertainer Jesco White hosts Rebel Radio in Rockstar’s newest GTA game. Also known as the “Dancing Outlaw,” Jesco White broadcasts a selection of country music while keeping gamers entertained. It’s confirmed that he is portraying himself when he says, “Rebel Radio, with Jesco.”

There is also an NPC singing and tap dancing at the base of Mount Chiliad next to the Alamo sea, which many fans believe is an animated representation of Jesco White. If this is the case, he is one of a few famous people who physically appear in the series.​​​​​

1/10 Dr. Dre Made His Debut In The Contract Expansion

GTA Online has a number of updates and expansions, and one of the best DLC is entitled “The Contract,” which was available to gamers at the end of 2021. The VIP contract missions are centered around the Grammy Award-winning Hip-Hop pioneer, Dr. Dre as he goes about his business in Los Santos. The missions have several cutscenes where the online protagonist meets with the musical prodigy.

Dr. Dre voices himself throughout the adventure and even produced music for the occasion. His partnership with Rockstar was surprising, but the outcome delighted fans and he nailed his role. Also featured in the DLC are Anderson .Paak and DJ Pooh, who hosts the radio station, West Coast Classics. They are all among the most famous musicians who voice themselves in the GTA series.
