It has been almost half a century since the 7 Series nameplate came into existence and the BMW i7 signals the first to be purely powered by electricity. Here is how much it will cost in South Africa in comparison to its fossil fuel powered counterparts.
Measuring in 131 mm longer than the outgoing model at 5,39 metres, the new BMW 7 Series range offers an even more commodious interior, something its predecessor was not lacking in. Within the range of petrol, diesel and the novel electrified powertrains – interior comfort and amenities take centrestage.
In addition to the BMW Operating System 8 and its iconic curved display for the driver, the new BMW i7 and all of its other counterparts will include features like a fold-down 31.3-inch BMW Theatre Screen, the multi-sensory vehicle experience BMW iDrive. For those in the prime second row of seats, an optional Executive Lounge configuration with optimised reclining seat positions can be paired with the new BMW Individual Merino leather/cashmere wool interior.

The global market launch of the new BMW 7 Series range commences in the fourth quarter of 2022. Indicative pricing for the new 7 Series in South Africa (including VAT and excluding CO2 tax) is as follows:
