When you’re making as much money as these celebrities, car collections take on the appearance of car dealerships.

When you have dreams of being rich and successful, the follow-up question is always this: what would you do with your first million?
Some have nobler goals, revolving around taking care of their family and friends, or giving back to their community. But what you’re about to see here is not an exercise in altruism (unless, of course, you consider driving a beautiful car an act of public good). Indeed, for others, where there is a passion or even the inkling of a hobby, you can guarantee that a million-dollar-pay cheque will go straight towards pursuing it.
Welcome the celebrity car garage. For most celebrities, the first million is used for the Tinseltown to-dos, a kind of grocery list of all the accoutrements one needs to take their place calmly in Hollywood. You’ve got your sprawling mansions with jacuzzis. You’ve got your home cinemas, or in Lionel Messi’s case, a string of holiday villas. And then you’ve got your cars.
Famous petrolheads like Jerry Seinfeld and Jay Leno have made a name for themselves outside of their professional terrain, simply because of their impressive car collections. Bursting with special edition models, vintage vehicles and some of the most expensive car collections on the market, their garages might more aptly be described as car dealerships.
In search of a dose of car envy—or inspiration? Here, 22 of the wildest celebrity car garages.

Arnold Schwarzenegger
Unsurprising that the Big Man himself has a similarly big assortment of cars. Amongst his collection of luxury vehicles (so far, 15 have been reported) sits an open-top vintage Excalibur, priced at an easy US$89,000. The Terminator also adores his Porsche 997 Turbo Cabriolet, two Bentley Continentals (one of which set him back US$320,000), and his personally customised, bright red Audi R8. Other favourites include his  Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Roadster, estimated to cost up to US$540,000, and his ginormous Mercedes Benz Unimog, featuring 45-inch Michelin tyres.
Oh, and did we mention he owns a literal tank? Like, a military-grade 1951 M47 Patton that he uses to crush cars? Now that’s metal.
