Police are investigating after a car ended up in the backyard pool at a home in Margate Tuesday.
The incident happened at a home in the 1400 block of Northwest 62nd Terrace.
Footage from Chopper 6 showed the car, a grey convertible Mercedes-Benz, completely submerged in the pool after it crashed through a fence.
Margate Police officials said when officers and fire rescue crews arrived, they found the homeowner’s car in the pool but said there were no injuries.
A family member said her 79-year-old father who has a medical condition was driving, but said it’s unclear whether that played a role in what happened.
It took a tow truck several hours to remove the car, which was totaled.
Police said they’re investigating the incident.
