Two teenage boys are under arrest after police say they carjacked a Tesla early Friday morning near 76th and Silver Spring in Milwaukee and was involved in two police chases. The second one ended in a crash in Glendale just before noon, when the car slammed into a mail truck and dump truck as it tried to elude Milwaukee Police. It was earlier spotted going about 80 miles an hour on Port Washington Road, and a witness called Glendale police. An officer spotted the car ducking into the Bayshore parking garage. Police say they caught up with the teens who were using a charging station at the Bayshore Mall parking garage, and when police started to close in, they drove off down the ramp. Evading stopsticks, the driver turned north on Port Washington Road, speeding away from police. But that pursuit lasted just a few blocks before the Tesla crashed. The two boys bailed out of the car, and officers quickly chased them down and arrested a 15-year-old they say was driving and a 14-year-old passenger. Police said there were no serious injuries in the crash. The Tesla had severe front-end damage.
