12 stolen vehicles seized at Port of Baltimore, CBP says

Federal, state and local authorities intercepted and seized 12 stolen vehicles at the Port of Baltimore.Police from Baltimore County and the Maryland Transportation Authority joined federal authorities in Operation Terminus.”Operation Terminus brings people, ideas and solutions together in an effort to disrupt the flow of outbound stolen vehicles,” Steven Wachstein, CBP’s acting assistant area port director for tactical operations, said in a statement.Authorities seized 12 vehicles and a 2014 John Deere S680 combine, all of which combined for an estimated total value of $428,306. The vehicles were destined for West Africa, while the John Deere combine, which was worth $114,000 and was reported stolen in Michigan, was destined for South America.”The success of Operation Terminus isn’t measured in the volume of vehicles recovered, but the relationships formed among federal, state and local law enforcement agencies,” Wachstein said in a statement.The vehicles seized included a 2014 Toyota Camry worth $10,650, a 2020 Toyota Corolla worth $19,676, a 2010 Toyota Camry worth $8,775, a 2010 Toyota RAV4 worth $8,625, a 2006 Toyota Matrix worth $3,125, a 2013 Toyota Camry worth $8,350, a 2015 Toyota Camry worth $13,650, a Nissan Kicks worth $23,697, a 2024 BMW X6 worth $75,734, a 2022 Land Rover Range Rover Sport worth $78,524, a 2018 Land Rover Range Rover Sport worth $39,650, and a 2021 Jeep Compass worth $23,850.Authorities at ports of entry in Miami/Fort Lauderdale, Florida; Savannah, Georgia; Charleston, South Carolina; and Norfolk, Virginia, took part in Operation Terminus.
